Our policy goals are simply stated. First, excellent and ethical business performance. Second, benefit to the wider community - individuals and society - through our business performance. Third, no accidents in our operations, no harm to people and no damage to the environment. To achieve these demanding goals we set measurable targets, submit the results to external verification and publish reports of our progress.
These goals are challenging. But for BP to flourish in the contemporary world, and to preserve its freedom to operate, integrity and accountability are minimum pre-conditions.
